Six Sentence Sunday: Dream Vacation part 2

This entry is part 2 of 5 in the series Foreign Affairs

Welcome back to Six Sentence Sunday!

This week I’m sharing from my short story, Dream Vacation, which is part of the Turquoise Morning Press anthology, Foreign Affairs. This book came out in digital last month, and just released in print. Woohoo!

My contribution to the anthology is the story of online friends discovering they’ve each been holding a torch for the other for quite a while. Since the theme of the book is hot foreign men, it only seemed right that my hero, Luc, was from Paris. I might should have mentioned last week that Naomi and Luc met via an online weight loss forum, thus the comments about weight and body transformation are, on both sides, victorious rather than derogatory.

In last week’s share, Luc is getting his first in person look at his friend. He’s still admiring her.

Now, the weight had fallen away to reveal perfect curves. She wore a conservative, white dress with a full skirt that went to her knees and a blue sweater. She didn’t try to tempt, but she was his reason for being in Mexico.

“Luc?”

He shook his head. “Oui, pardon.”

You can read more about the anthology and get a bigger excerpt here. You can also purchase the anthology in digital from the TMP website, Barnes and Noble or Amazon.
