Here in Texas it’s actually getting cold–finally! There’s a reason to use all the things I’ve knitted!
Sadly I haven’t been able to finish projects as much as I’d have liked, but I have so many pairs of gloves that just need buttons sewn on them now. OMG, I so did not anticipate how much time sewing on buttons would take. It’s killing me!
That said, I have some really cool gloves almost ready for their finishing touches and to send off to friends for early Christmas projects.
Besides gloves lately, I did a really neat knit-lace scarf. I can’t show the picture off yet because it’s a surprise present and I’m keeping it hush-hush for now. I’m hoping to finish the whole set by next week and send it off. Crossing my fingers I can get some pictures to show off from the recipient.
I’ve been kicking around the idea of knitting a blanket or afghan next. That would be a huge project, but how cool would it be to have a custom pattern and color blanket to tie in all the colors in my living room??
