Dear Readers,
This last weekend I got to hang out at a local reader conference hosted by Fresh Fiction, a review and reader community site. It was a blast! I’ve missed the last couple of years, which was a bummer–but not this one!
While I was stuck in traffic Friday the event kicked off with some lovely meet n’ greets. I made it toward the end of dinner, so I was thankfully on time for the slumber party reading with Roz Lee, Felice Fox and Damon Suede. Talk about fun! There were goodies provided by the Stockroom, we had readers act out scenes as we read them, there was a demonstration for how to use some of the items provided by the Stockroom. So much fun! I even did a reading from Committed. I don’t remember the last time I read a sex scene out loud with anyone else in the room!
Saturday was a fun, relaxed day of panels, hanging in the author lounge and talking books with readers and authors alike. Readers n’ Ritas is a change from the typical conference just because it’s so relaxed and fun. Loved getting to hang out and talk with people–and looking forward to next year’s naughty reading!!
