Guest Blog: Addicted to my Series by Lucy Felthouse

atasteoflondonHi everyone, and huge thanks to Sidney for letting me loose on her site today!

So, when I decided to write something for Ellora’s Cave’s For Men range, I had no intention of writing a series. And yet, when I came up with the idea, I realised it was absolutely perfect for expansion – the characters were on their gap year, and so I could write about their adventures in numerous different places. So I started Ryan and Kristian’s tale in London, where they’d spend a day or so before heading to Paris on the Eurostar. I wrote the story a while back, and, because it was my first story with Ellora’s Cave, I had to wait a long time to find out its fate. Fortunately, it was accepted and then of course it had to go through edits, etc, before being given a release date – 7th December 2012. Naturally I was delighted, and figured that once the new year came and I had a few deadlines out of the way, I could start on the sequel. However, things didn’t turn out that way.

The deadlines pressing down, my brain awkwardly decided it didn’t want to work on those stories. Oh no, it wanted to work on A Taste of Paris. Despite my protests, my brain would not shut up, so I let it do as it wanted, with threats that if I didn’t make my deadlines, it would be in trouble. My brain didn’t care, it just kept producing words. And so, in less than a week, I’d written and edited A Taste of Paris, sent it to a trusty beta reader, gone through her comments, and sent the story to my editor. She’s acknowledged receipt. All I have to do now is wait, and keep my fingers and toes crossed. Once A Taste of Paris is edited (presuming it’s accepted!) I can then get onto A Taste of Rome.

Crikey, I’d better get those deadlines sorted before the next story starts demanding to be told!

Happy New Year, everyone! x

Ryan Stonebridge and his friend Kristian Hurst are heading off on the trip of a lifetime. They’re spending their gap year traveling the world and expect lots of sun, sights and sex. The guys have a couple of days in the English capital before catching the Eurostar to Paris. Unfortunately, a family emergency means that Kristian has to head back home for a while, leaving Ryan to continue the trip alone.

Luckily for Ryan, he’s an attractive guy and there is no shortage of gorgeous women available to help take his mind off Kristian’s family drama.
