Hello Dear Reader and Writers joining me today!
So last week on one of my author loops, where we discuss super seekrit writing things, like… chocolate and the power of a good cider, someone posted a link to another unrelated author’s Facebook page. She had this super cool Bookshelf like section on her page, and considering that a ton of readers find and connect with authors on Facebook these days, it seemed like a really kick ass way to make it that much easier for my readers to see my books and get information about how to purchase them or what the next release was.
I had to figure out how to make this happen!
A quick Google search resulted in some less than helpful information. Namely the first set of instructions I found were for a set of now-unsupported aps.
Lovely.
Back to the drawing board.
After trial and error, I finally figured it out. I shared it with some other authors, and through a roundabout conversation I realized there are a lot of elements to social media that people don’t know how to do. Now, I’m not the smartest person out there, but I can put together some easy how to’s, thus I’m going to start my Social Media Corner, where I talk about how to do some random things, like adding static pages to Facebook pages, including a blog feed to Goodreads or even just making an email footer with all your social media links.
First up, I will discuss the topic that kicked this all off, which is how to add a Bookshelf section to a Facebook page. Tune in for more then!
