What is sexy?

This last week I had a simple, innocent question posed to me that’s kind of messed with my head.

When do you feel sexy?

That’s a pretty easy question, right?

It is if you feel sexy. I’ve never embraced that mindset that I can be sexy. I’m too silly, too goofy, not pretty enough, a little uncoordinated, and the list goes on. I gave an honest answer.

I feel pretty damn sexy when I reread one of my books and think it’s hot.

But that’s not really me feeling sexy, is it? It’s living vicariously through the heroine, who feels sexy. For a brief few moments I can imagine what it would be like to have that confidence and in the moment thrill.

I’m willing to accept that my idea of "sexy" is wrong. In fact, I think it is. Sexy isn’t a body type or a certain look. Sexy is so many more things than a black and white list. I don’t quite know what it means for me, but I think I want to find out.

What do you think sexy is? Or if you’re willing to share when do you feel sexy?
