When to expect the next book?

theharderhefalls_msrSo Inked LogoDear Readers,

Back in October I made a post about, When to expect the next book? It was in answer to a reader’s question wanting to know when to expect the next book in one series, while being unaware of another series. It was a good conversation and the resulting blog was very useful for not only readers, but myself! So I figured–why not do another one? I think I’m going to attempt to make this a quarterly thing to update readers on what is coming out and stuff to be on the look-out for.

These are estimations only, not promised release dates unless otherwise stated. Or, ya know, when I list a date. I’ll do this by series, then do a recap at the bottom.

** Everything here is subject to change at the whim of publishers, me, the wind or other circumstances. **

The So Inked books are by far the ones that get this question the most. Under His Skin and The Harder He Falls are currently available everywhere ebooks are sold. The third book, His Marriage Bargain, was handed off to my editor in November, right on target. My best estimation on when to expect book three would be sometime this summer 2014. The remaining two books, More than He Can Handle and His Little Fighter, will each be written in 2014 and 2015 respectively. For me, it’s crazy to be over the half-way point of the series.

hottango_msrThe Good Guys Wear Black books are still relatively unknown to people, but soon, very soon, you will know the wonder that is Hot Tango. I’m estimating an early 2014 release for Hot Tango. The second book, Line of Duty, is written and also turned in. I would expect both books to be out this year. The final book in this trilogy will be a 2015 release, which kind of stinks because it’s going to be so super awesome. I’ve really enjoyed writing these. Both Hot Tango and Line of Duty have tugged on the heart strings.

MidnightInk72The Bayou Bound books kicked off in November with the Midnight Ink boxed set release. Picture Her Bound will be out as a stand-alone novella in February. I’m hoping to follow it up fairly soon after with another installment, a full-length novel titled Duty Bound. For those who have read Picture Her Bound, this book follows Mathieu, Odalia’s former patrol partner. I have plans to do a full series in this “world”. Several of the books are planned out, it’s just a matter of fitting them into my schedule!

A few weeks ago I got to finally announce that I’d signed a contract with Loveswept to do a book for them. Committed is a single-title right now, but let’s be honest. I fully intend to write a follow-up. For now, the Drug of Desire series is just the one book, with a projected release month of July.

Tales from the Secret Realms is a loose series that kicked off this holiday season with How Zombies Stole Christmas. This series is a shared world and will be skipping all over the globe to visit magical havens for modern day fae and wondrous creatures. I have some projects for these worlds, but the only one I’m committing to in 2014 is a Halloween book. The rest depend on scheduling!

I’m hoping that through 2014 I’ll also be able to do some short stories in the line of Once Upon a Time in Mukdahan and Kinky Bells, both of which are included in anthologies. There was such a great response to writing a hero with a prosthetic limb, I want to do more of these! I also have plans to re-release at least one short story and write a few more as stand-alones or tie-in’s to current series to poke at supporting characters.

picture-her-boundThat’s everything I can tell you about. There’s always stuff in the background or in the works that I can’t talk about, but hopefully soon. Ya know, if everything pans out.

Here’s a cheat-list of the expected schedule, including the rest of this year’s releases:

And that’s enough to make me want to go back to bed!!!!
